The world of K-media Marketing
Dae Ryun Chang is a Leading Professor of Marketing at SUNY Stony Brook in Korea. He received his Doctorate from Harvard University and his MBA from Columbia University. He has held tenured or visiting faculty appointments globally such as at Hong Kong University of Science & Technology, Singapore Management University, and Nanyang Technology University, He brings an unique perspective to marketing and entertainment media management as being an award winning filmmaker. He teaches on the global online Coursera.org platform many courses including Global Entertainment Marketing with over registered 90,000 learners.

Lee Moo-Young is a noted Korean screenplay writer (“Joint Security Area” and “Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance” both directed by Park Chan-wook), director (The Humanist) and actor (My Sassy Girlfriend). He is also Professor of Filmmaking at Dongseo University as well as the author of “Writing Screenplay: A Piece of Cake.”

Since working as a Director at MassMessAge, one of the top production companies in Korea, Wookie has shot several campaigns for clients such as Samsung, Hyundai, LG, McDonald’s, Finnair, Korean Air, and Unilever. He has also ventured into directing short films where his first short “One Shot,” was officially selected and screened at the International Kurzfilmwoche Regensburg in Germany, the San Diego Asian Film Festival in the U.S., and I Filmmaker International Film Festival in Marbella Spain. His recent short film “Seoul Tour,” has won Best Short at the Roma Cinema DOC festival in Italy. While still shooting commercials, Wookie is currently preparing to shoot his first feature-length film.

Daniel Smukalla, originally from the U.S., is a freelance cinematographer based in Seoul, Korea who works as a director of photography for major news networks, corporate film projects and narrative film. Daniel has also produced and directed his own documentaries, musical films, and videos. He has worked not only in Korea and in Asia but also in Europe, the U.S. and in South Africa. His corporate clients include Netflix, Samsung, Burberry, Campari, the BBC, CNN, HBO, Korean Air and Tencent.

Yongju is Chief Visual Ad Designer and CEO of DARB Studio. DARB is a leading Visual Ad Production company in Seoul, Korea with clients such as KIA, Samsung, LG and Hyundai Card. Yongju is a Director, Computer Graphics Designer and Motion Graphics Designer. His projects include, among others, Pokemon Immersive Exhibition, Nike Viral Promotional Campaign, LG’s OLED 8K Private Zone Exhibition and the Screen X for the Chinese movie “Let the Bullets Fly” (Director Jiang Wen).starring Chow Yun Fat.

Don Ryun Chang is former Dean of Hongik University Graduate School of Film Media Communication. He was the former CEO of Interbrand Korea and was the Design Advisory Chair for the 2018 Pyeong Chang Winter Olympics and the Collective Government identity program in 2015. His past corporate identity clients include The Shilla hotel, Meritz Securities, Shinhan Bank and Lotte Jeju Hotel. Don has written seven books related to branding and place design and has delivered lectures and workshops at California Institute of the Arts, Parsons, Rhode Island School of Design, Monash University, Lancaster University and Willem de Kooning Academy in Rotterdam.

CEO of REDPETER FILMS Co., Ltd., LEE Dongha has produced many works including the Korean-French co-production film, A Brand New Life(2009), and Poetry(2010) which won the Best Screenplay Award at the 63rd Cannes Film Festival, Hwayi: A Monster Boy(2013), A Man and A Woman(2015). He established the production company, Red Peter, and produced Train To Busan(2016) as its first work. Since then, he has produced Psychokinesis(2017), Birthday(2018), Another Child(2018), and Peninsula(2020). At the 70th Cannes Film Festival, a global film magazine Variety selected him as the only Asian producer as ’10 Producers To Watch’.
